“Pellie Runs A Marathon ”  by Michele Bredice Craemer

Theme 1: “Pellie’s Movement Marathon”

This author visit focuses on getting the students up & moving. Students will enjoy  completing 26 various movements. They will receive a token for finishing. (Recommended for all age groups.) 

Theme 2:  “Pellie’s Book Run”

This author visit focuses on creativity. Students will create their own mini book. They will follow the instructions for a book cover and 4 pages (which is provided) to create their own story about an animal doing a sport or physical activity. Students will receive a token for finishing. (Recommended for K - 2)

“CoCo Loves To Tri ”  by Michele Bredice Craemer

Theme 1:  “CoCo's Triangle of Health”

This author visit will review 3 components of healthy lifestyles for children ~ exercise, nutrition and stress management ~ in a brief, age appropriate manner. Students will receive a token for participating. (Recommended for K - 2.)

Theme 2:  “CoCo's Crazy Tri”

This author visit focuses on getting the students up & moving. They will enjoy participating in 3 different types of movement to complete this "crazy tri". Students will receive a token for finishing. (Recommended for all age groups.)

• A book reading of “Pellie Runs A Marathon” or "CoCo Loves To Tri"
  

• A brief overview of writing and creating a book
  

• A brief, age appropriate overview of the lessons
  “Pellie” learns or "CoCo's" willingness to try
  

• An overview of the importance (and fun) of physical activity
  

• A question and answer period 

All author visits include:

·        A complimentary signed book to the school or organization

·        A special rate for signed books available to all students/participants (a letter to the parents is provided to the teachers)
