Pellie runs a marathon

In 26.2 miles
Pellie learns lessons that both children and adults can appreciate.
Her feet get heavy and the race gets long.
But
Pellie keeps on going.
She even sings a song.
A little voice says,

"You can do it!"
And Pellie keeps on running. . . . She runs, runs, runs.
She runs right to it.

Pellie finishes a marathon!

Reviews from Amazon.com

"Inspiring and Fun.  Pellie teaches the importance of not giving up and doing your best, even if your best is not being the winner.  She sends a powerful message to children about setting goals and achieving them even when it is difficult to do so.  The pace of the book engages children in the story and by the end they are chanting the refrain with the teacher." (5 star rating)

"What a great role model!  This little duck is a great role model for adults and children alike! She perseveres through the 26+ mile run and celebrates her accomplishment at the end - it's not about winning, just about finishing! I highly recommend this book for preschool teachers, coaches, and parents." (5 star rating)
